The Super 3 V2 uses a 4.5" Shielded Fostex ES cone full-range driver that is modified by Omega Speaker Systems. This driver incorporates a very light cone( 2.9 grams ) and very strong motor to produce high sensitivity, incredible speed, transparency, and excellent detail. The Super 3 V2 is also a perfect point-source and is phase correct. Imaging and soundstage are exceptional. Wide baffle construction improves midrange smoothness and tonality in the critical mid-range and exceptional bass response. The Super 3V 2  is a compact bass reflex speaker so positioning in your listening room is easy. We chose to manufacture bass reflex systems as oppose to bass horns because the bass reflex system has tighter more accurate bass that goes just as low or lower than bass horns. Cabinets are more compact and easier to place as well as lower in cost to manufacture. Bass reflex cabinets have no horn passage directly behind the driver so damping material can be placed to suppress standing waves and bounce back reflections that cause frequency cancellation and distortion. The Super 3 V2 incorporates the same damping techniques as the Grande 6 and 8 including: Omega diffuser, special random thrown sponge rubber damping, ladder bracing, and a triple layer semi floating baffle and back. Cabinets are constructed of 3/4" softwood M. D. F. are adhered with polyurethane glues and are veneered on all sides including double veneers on front and back.
