Dear Steve, Dan, and Adam,

Just a quick note to tell you how much I'm enjoying my new gear. I think I've bought 25 new (new to me) CD's in the brief time since purchase. I really appreciate the patience and expert advice from Steve and Dan (you'll always be Bill to me). You guys really make it easy to look and find just the right equipment.

I'm beginning to recognize the genius of Adam's speaker placement and love the way he tied in my subs. All of my old friends from Peter Gabriel to Ludwig VB are coming at me as never before.

Hope to see you all soon,

Andy Wasserman

Adam - First, I just wanted to thank you again for coming out last night and hanging in there as late as you did to get the job done.

Tonight, I am finally getting a chance to sit down, relax, and listen. Let's just say that I feel like I've personally met Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Willie Nelson and Ray Lamontagne tonight in my listening room. Well, at least it sure sounded like they were right here with me! To my ears, in my room, with my gear, the music has never sounded so good as it does right now.

What I'm trying to say is that the $360 I spent last night was probably the best $360 I've spent in a while. Your services are truly invaluable.

Kudos to Steve and Quest for sound for maintaining a first rate shop that offers not only great personal service in the store, but also impeccable on-site consultation options.

Despite the fact that I'm still a relative amateur in this hobby, if you ever need a reference, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks again guys!

My experience with Stephen has been outstanding. Top notch communicator, described the speakers very well . You will not be disappointed when dealing with him.

I got home late, but I still had a chance to briefly listen for like 25 minutes.  And I've got to tell you, it actually took me some time to adjust to the NEW system, and wow, I never heard anything I have had in the past this good.  Definitely a few major notches up.  I listened to some Roxy Music, and it did sound very lush and analog, individualized, lots of detail, the speakers are basically gone, the left/right is just right, and there was great depth to the sound.

A great high end budget system just took a great leap forward, despite the challenges of trying to make a multitude of different brands and tastes of components sound the same and as true to the original recording as possible.  Somehow, with the expertise of experience and the knowhow, along with the gift of ultimate hearing, Adam Sankin was able to extract as much as possible out of my rig without making it sound less then what it was.

In other words, I have a $45,000 system that sounds 85% of a system costing at least 3 times as much.  Most of the improvement is due to tweaking, set up, speaker placement, and some critical upgrades.  The lesson here is very simple:  No matter how much you spend on the equipment and the listening room, and no matter how much you think you know, your system will never sound right unless you get a seasoned expert like Adam to bring it all together and make it sing as one instrument.

Now my system is on par with the best of the best as far as musicality and neutrality.  Most notable are the differences in the sound and quality of one recording compared to the next, and the diversity in information that adds to the illusion of a live event in time.  Everything is just much more there, and I am hearing less system and more of the recording and the space it was recorded in.  I'm no longer thinking in terms of lows, highs, and mids, but more so hearing the overall front of a dimensional sound image.

Yes, there is always room to improve, such as dynamics, ultimate resolution, and very deep articulated bass, but after all this is the HIGH END, so the journey has just begun.  So how is that as incentive to go to work and do your best to earn more, so you can get closer to the music?  This is a noble cause after all.

An audiophile operating an audio store is a rare thing in this day and age!  Anything you consider outstanding I am willing to listen to; I have a couple of buddies that belong to the Cincinnati Audiophile Society and will put your name out there too.
